I <3 U, K?

Justin slammed the door to his empty apartment with an angered huff, kicking off his shoes violently, both hitting the wall. Black scuff marks were left behind as they hit the ground in a heap. His messenger back quickly joined them on the floor, dropped unceremoniously from his bruised shoulder. Walking into the next room with a slight limp, he threw open the freezer door and pulled out an ice pack, holding it to his bruised eye.

School had been utter shit today.

This douche bag, that was in every other class of his, Camden, had pushed him to far today. Which he did a lot, but it usually didn't get to him like this. For some reason, though, after the first few insults thrown between them, Justin had launched himself at the other boy, absolutely livid. And surprisingly, Camden was able to put up a good fight. Hence, his black eye, dislocated shoulder, and twisted ankle.

Some random snitch had gone to get a teacher and said teacher had come to break it up. They'd gone to the office, gotten their scoldings, and then respectively given a warning. He, and apparently, Camden, were the top students. As in, top students. Highest grades, teachers loved them, role models, the only thing wrong was their little spats. Their little, unexplained spats. Don't ask Justin why, all he knew was that blond nerd just really got to him in the worst of way.

But, anyways, no more pitying himself. He had to get online.

Turning on his Mac, Justin quickly signed into a private chatroom and sent his greeting.

HippiesSuck: Blue, you here?

bluer_than_blood: Yep. Missed you. ; )

HippiesSuck: : ) Missed you too.

See, Justin had met this boy. His name, in this chatroom, was bluer_than_blood. And for the weirdest reason, Justin just couldn't get enough of the guy! Didn't know his real name, or what he looked like, never even met him before, but talking to this guy was the highlight of his day. Him and Blue had already been over this. Had even confessed certain... feelings they shared. Cause, see, somewhere along the way, Justin had fallen in love with this random stranger. They had connected in this way he had never connected with anyone before, knew what the other was thinking, knew what to say and not to say, and knew all the right and wrong buttons to push. they knew everything there was to know about the other, Blue had even told Justin about this Lucid thing. They didn't have any secrets.

HippiesSuck: No, really, I missed you, Blue. I had the worst day. You're basically the only thing that kept me from strangling this douche bag at school.

James sighed, holding a warm washcloth to his still bleeding cheek.

[i]bluer_than_blood: Yeah I know the feeling. Sounds like we had pretty similar days. I'm still bleeding from earlier today. Are you okay?

HippiesSuck: Yeah, just let me pop my shoulder back in really quick. -.- Seriously, this hurts so badly!

bluer_than_blood: FFFT what have I told you about doing that kind of stuff on your own? You're gonna seriously make it worse man. Get someone to help you. DX

HippiesSuck: And get someone else in trouble? You know me, Blue. ; )

bluer_than_blood: No amount of winking is gonna make it better. You make me worried sometimes. ): Just be careful, okay?

HippiesSuck: Of course, Blue. Never wanted to make you upset. Forgive me?

bluer_than_blood: How could I not? It's impossible to be mad at you. : )

HippesSuck: And that's what I love about you. : )

bluer_than_blood: Oh stop that you're making me blush~

James smiled. He didn't know exactly how long he had felt this way about the other boy, but he was the only living person still capable of making him smile. He didn't even know his name, but this one person was able to make him feel like everything was going to be okay even if he had a dislocated shoulder.

Justin smiled gently at the screen, wishing he could reach through the screen and finally meet the kid. He grinned.

HippiesSuck: So, what else happened in school?

bluer_than_blood: Eh, school. Easy classes, annoying students, the works.

HippiesSuck: yeah, I know the feeling. People can be so stupid!

bluer_than_blood: oh, Hipster, I love how you understand me~

HippiesSuck: ... sarcasm?

bluer_than_blood: yep. ; )

HippiesSuck: lol.

Justin really did laugh.

James took in a deep breathe, tapping his fingers nervously on the surface of his desk. He had been waiting for the right moment to ask, and now seemed like as good a time as any.

bluer_than_blood: I...I really want to meet you irl. To be honest, I've wanted to for like half a year now. I just didn't say anything because I still wasn't really sure if you...would want to take a big step like that. I mean, it's not really that big- it's just...I dunno. Stupid idea, sorry. >>;

His hands were shaking as he waited for a response. Oh God, it had been way too soon for this. He shouldn't have even bothered. He should have known this whole thing had been just a fun internet fling or-

HippiesSuck: Woah, dude, it's fine! Truthfully, I have too.

bluer_than_blood: Then maybe...we should plan a place and time to meet? Or something?

HippiesSuck: I'd love that. : )

HippiesSuck: How about... a hotel?

HippiesSuck: ; )

James could hear his hear his blood racing in his ears. He couldn't process the implications of that statement, never mind reply to it! Still, he coudln't just leave the guy hanging.

bluer_than_blood: erm-yeah that's a good idea! I uh...have a lot of homework to do that I should get over with so we can talk more later, okay? Uh...yeah bye! : )

bluer_than_blood has left the chatroom


James stared dully at his laptop's desktop. It was a black background with some swirls of blue and green. Ugh. Rowan. Last bitch he wanted to be thinking about. Time for a new desktop background.

Yes, finding a new desktop background was far more pressing than actually doing any homework like he had said he would. He could easily do that research paper in the morning if he woke up an hour early. Easily. And the math? Eh he could do that before crashing in bed. Which would be many hours away since he usually stayed up late talking to-....Oh God oh God a hotel, really?! That left so many possibilities, so ma-...He had just been messing with him again. hadn't he?

bluer_than_blood has left the chatroom.

Justin cursed and pushed away from the desk in a huff. He'd only been joking! His friend, Okami, had been telling him he needed to lighten up, to joke around and seem "a bit more human". And he had noticed himself that he wasn't exactly friendly or relaxed when it came to conversation with people outside his comfort zone, so he had decided to give it a try.

When will he learn to never take advice from Okami?!

Justin stood, posture slumped and defeated as a realization came over him. The guy probably thought he was a rapist now. Lovely. The one person he had ever actually committed to learning about, to try and form a relationship now believed that he watch child porn on the internet and jacked off to those crime scene shows with the rape victims. Fan-fucking-tastic.

He needed juice.

James finally settled on a weird plaid black and blue design for his desktop. He'd probably change it the very next day. Oh well.
He fiddled with his hands, not sure what to do now. Normally, he really would leave his homework to the last minute. But...Well he really had nothing better to do. Though-...No. Not yet. Maybe in a few hours he'd get back on the chatroom. Not right now. James grabbed his backpack and rifled through his binder.
Math, research paper, physics...
James glanced back at his computer screen. Oh to hell with it all.

bluer_than_blood has entered the chatroom.

Justin frowned as he looked over a rubric for his project. It was due in a week, but he liked to get things done nice and early. Yet, upset-tingly enough, he needed poster board, glue, tape, markers, glitter, and all this other random shit that, guess what, he didn't have.

In other words, he'd have to go to the store.

Yaaaay.

The little messenger sound went off and he looked up in almost joyful surprise to see that Blue had signed back on.

HippiesSuck: Hey, dude, sorry about that before. Really, I was only kidding. An, I also figured, that we might want to meet up for a longer amount of time, like over the weekend, so we'd rent a hotel room. Sorry if I freaked you out.

He sat back and waited a moment.

bluer_than_blood: Don't worry. I don't mind.

Justin relented a smile and relaxed.

HippiesSuck: Good, But, hey, I gotta go. Need to buy stuff for a project. See ya! And love you. ; )

He'd never act like this in real life.

James gnawed on his lower lip. Guess he would be stuck doing homework early after all.

bluer_than_blood: Alright, talk to you later. Love you too~

HippiesSuck has left the chatroom.

He glanced back down at his backpack. Really. Homework. Total waste of time. He'd rather spend his time picking up some packs of chips and soda. They'd run out a few days ago and his parents didn't care for junk food, so they hadn't bothered stocking back up on it.

James contemplated the better choice. Waste f15 minutes walking to the store, another 10 to 20 at the store picking stuff out and waiting in line, and then another 15 minutes walking back home. Or homework...

He grabbed his keys, wallet, and phone and headed for the door.

Justin stood, the store only a couple minutes away, deciding o walk. He had his bike, yeah, a Harley Davidson XR1200X (gorgeous bike), but it was a nice day. Overcast, cloudy, looking ready to rain. He'd rather walk. You know, take advantage of weather that wouldn't burn his skin off.

Trekking down the stairs that he loved with a passion, Justin quickly jogged across the street, mindful of the traffic. He walked leisurely into the store parking lot, and then into the store itself, the list of required supplies in his hands.

He was going to feel so gay, buying the glitter.

The walk went by pretty quickly, what with the cool air that smelled like rain and slight breeze that ruffled his hair. James sighed in appreciation. He really should get outside more. His thoughts wandered to his previous conversation with Hipster.

What would it be like to meet the guy? What if...What if he found out that the dude had been playing him this whole time for the sick pleasure of crushing another person's hopes? Or...what if he turned out to be some 50 year old widower who-...no. James wouldn't do this to himself. He needed to just relax and wait for the time to come when they'd finally get to meet and he could see for himself just who this person was.

He was a bit surprised when he finally broke out of his thoughts to find the store right before him. Short walk. James stepped through the automatic sliding doors briskly. He was a man on a mission. And nothing was going to stop hi-Oh shiiiiiiiii-

Justin looked up at the sound of the doors, force of habit, only to scowl and curse under his breath.

Fantastic. Really.

"James." He spat, eyes murderous as they stared the blond down.

Looked like he wouldn't be completing his mission after all. He smirked when he saw how Justin was shifting his weight on one leg more than the other, and the dark purple bruise that had formed around his eye. That mark wasn't going away for a while.
"What the hell are you looking at me like that for," James growled, taking a step forward.
Two seconds and already this guy had pissed him off beyond reason.

Justin rolled his eyes. "Well, considering that you practically broke my ankle and blinded me, I'm kinda pissed." He paused. "Hell, scratch the "kinda" in there. I'm fucking pissed."

He walked up to the other boy, ready to shove or punch the guy, depending on what he did.

"What about you?"

That question would have been innocent enough, if he hadn't be cursing James to Hell under his breath.

"Eh I'd say you being such a pussy about a a few light jabs and then throwing yourself at me is enough to justify your lovely battle scars. To answer your question, I am looking at you like this because I have eyes and they clearly do not like the sight of your whiny, sickly face."

It kind of entertained him that this guy was so easy to set off.

Justin sneered.

"What the hell is your problem, dick?!"

"I thought the answer to that was obvious," James retorted, giving Justin a hard shove.
"It's you."

Justin stumbled and fell back into a stand, unable to keep his balance. Freaking headaches, they always came at the worst moments!

"Fucking jerk!" He spat back, though didn't throw a punch, since he didn't trust his shaking hands. Another lovely side effect. Thank you birth defects!

"What, not gonna fight back? Too high and mighty to stoop to my low level?"
James spat on the ground and turned on his heel. he sure didn't want to be escorted out of the store by the police. Might as well make a big exit while getting the hell out of there while he still could. If Justin wanted to follow him, well that was his choice. And his funeral.

Justin glared daggers into the boy's back as he strutted away. Please. If only the douche bag knew what he was capable of. He'd probably be able to snap his neck without the guy ever even knowing he was behind him. James would never know what hit him.

He'd probably just toss the body to the dogs too. Less evidence that way.

It wasn't until James was halfway home that he realized he had never actually gotten the soda or food. So much for his mission. He sighed in frustration. Whatever. Hopefully he had killed enough time for Hipster to get back online. A distraction would be nice right now. He should really get Hipster's phone number so he could text him. Then he wouldn't have to deal with the insanity of having to wait around all day to talk to him. And maybe he could call him and hear his voice...Just that idea was enough to make him pick up his pace.

Justin took his time meandering around the store. It wasn't that he wasn't eager to get home, it was that he really didn't want to run into that guy again.

He really hated people like that. Well, not really. Because he hadn't hated anyone like James. James was a lot of talk, yes, but he could also back it up to an extent. He wasn't a bully or anything, he had good grades from what Justin saw. Didn't seem to have any major family problems besides some abandonment issues but everyone has that to an extent. Justin didn't have anything against skin or hair colour so that wasn't it either. Hell, he seemed kinda like he'd be a cool guy to be friends with.

Justin just hated him!

Turning on his heel, Justin nearly stomped to the front of the store, then out the door, towards home. He was in some mood to be in public.

James dropped his wallet in his dresser drawer and sank into his computer chair with a good deal of relief. He logged back in to the chatroom the second his computer was fully started up. It was empty. He sighed and grabbed his math textbook. Might as well be productive if he was going to have to wait.

Justin stopped abruptly as some drunk douche bag sped past a stop sign, flipping him off as it passed.

Justin sneered and kicked at the ground a tad, the light post in front of the drunkard suddenly falling on top of the car. Tires screeched and the guy scream, shrill and ear piercing.

Justin smirked and went on his way.

He was seriously pissed now.

He finished the bookwork in eleven minutes flat. Of course he hadn't been showing all his work, but Mr. Wynsal didn't really care about that. It was his teacher's one redeeming trait.

Come on Hipster, does it really take this long to pick up supplies for a school project? If you odn't get on soon, I'm gonna end up starting that stupid paper. And then I'll have no excuse for not putting in effort.

James sighed and minimized the chatroom, bringing up internet. He couldn't believe he was doing his homework this early. It was near blasphemy, it was.

Justin stepped into his apartment, kicking off his shoes with frustration for the second time that day, before making a beeline for his computer. Switching it on and logging in quickly, he reveled in the anticipation that washed over him.
