Chaos~~~~~

Diana stuffed her pale hands into the giant pockets of her ridiculously over-sized jacket as she stepped through the entrance of her least favorite place in town. The mall. She shuddered inwardly as she passed the department stores and jewelry stands. She avoided making eye contact with any of the people passing by. That was a tad bit difficult, considering her strange outward appearance, but she was very skilled in the art of avoidance.
A few more minutes of walking and she was in the food court. The teenager scouted out an empty table in a corner and quickly claimed it, afraid that someone else might beat her to it. She sank down tiredly on a chair and put up a foot on the remaining empty seat. He should be here soon. And if he wasn't, then she was going to personally maul him for putting her through this traumatic experience.
"Heh, you actually came! I was afraid you were going to force me to track you down and drag you here."
Diana's head whipped to the sound of Blaine's voice.
She rolled her eyes at him.
"If we're here for more than an hour, I'm leaving, regardless of whether or not you've finished your little mission," she snapped.
"Yeah yeah, I know. Don't have to get pissy at me before we've even started," came his smooth reply as he pushed her foot off the chair and plonked himself down on it.
Blaine brushed his perfectly styled sandy hair out of his eyes, smiling at her mischievously.
"Let's go find you some shoes."

Xander looked around, his sunglasses making it impossible to see his eyes-- well, eye. Yes he was missing an eye. But that wasn't the reason for the glasses. Being half vampire, his eyes were a bright, blood red.
Yeah, humans didn't take nicely to that. He walked past the stands in the middle of the walkway, people had told him he gave off a weird vibe, so humans didn't normally try to talk to him. As he walked through the mall, he did notice some more...suspicious people.
He had a feeling today was not going to have a very... fun ending. But nonetheless, he continued on his way to the food court.

The tall man walked through the crowd of giggling girls and families chatting. Idiots. Not even realizing what was walking around among them.
Back home he had heard some.. rumors, and decided to come out here.
Apep walked into the large room in the mall, the food court. All of the fast food and smells mixing together in the air. Apep had to say, it smelt horrible. Sniver would have agreed, but he was acting as if he was dead at the moment. Not like the mall would allow some giant, poisonous snake in if it was alive. Apep shifted the snake around his neck, he was getting a cramp from Sniver's weight. Anyway, he found an empty table and waited.

Rayna huffed, this was taking too long. Couldn't Cruz just give them the signal now? she was already getting looks from the naiiv humans as she stood close to the doors of the mall. And she was hungry. Come on you couldn't blame here. It had been forever since the Elites had stopped to get a decent 'meal'. And this was going to be extremely... fun.

Gin and Aki walked aimlessly through the mall, making note of all the non-humans suspiciously walking about. The Watcher, Kristina, had sent them here along with Jake and Tom, she hadn't said why, just that there was gonna be a bit of a messy situation and they could help out. So they'd gone, their questions vastly unanswered, but plenty of C4 in their pockets.

Jake stood staring into a store window, Tom in his arms trying to look like a stuffed animal. Jake tilted his head and grinned as the little toy butterfly flew in circles from a string. Tom muttered quietly to him, "You really should be paying more attention to the people. Kristina said something was going to happen." Jake was only half paying attention to the monster cat. "I know, I know..." He tilted his head the other way as the butterfly changed direction. "I'll get to it in a minute."

"Come on, come on, come on!"
Selphie tugged Justin excitedly towards a thrift store nearby, chattering away about how slow the boy was. I mean, honestly, couldn't he see that this was super-duper-mega important?! He'd have to be stupid not to! Just because he didn't want to be here didn't make him an idiot. After all, clothing was important. You can't just walk around naked. People would stare.
Justin sighed heavily as he stared up at the store sign in dread. JCPennys. The name in itself was gay. He thought he saw two certain c4-happy twins as he was dragged forcefully into the store but thought nothing of it.
As if the Watcher would be dumb enough to let those two wander around in a mall alone.
"Justin, we are going to get you some of the COOLEST clothes! A nice jacket, some button-ups, a tie or two, maybe some new shoes, and, oh! A watch!" She turned to look at him, still walking backwards towards what Justin believe was the men's section. "That would look awesome!"
Justin didn't really hear her. Her gibbering was currently being drowned out by his repeated mantra of "kill me now" in his head.
Ah, the mall.

"Wow, it's ah... really big and busy in here..." Jupiter stared around the mall. God, why was she here? She really didn't like crowds, she always felt like everyone was watching her, wondering if she had any parents or not...
Callisto gave a small agreement in her bag, not wanting to talk, because it was one thing to have a raccoon in your bag, but another was to have a talking raccoon in your bag.
Oh, how she disliked the mall. No wonder she hardly ever came here.

-Meanwhile-

"Hey dude, I think I forgot my phone in the car..." Matt said, stopping mid-stride as he realized his right pocket, where it normally was, was empty.
"Oh, alright man. I think I'll wander around a little, text me or something when you come back." Lucas nodded to him, and Matt wandered off the opposite direction, unaware of what was around them.

-Also meanwhile-

"They're getting excited, you know. Shouldn't you be giving the signal soon?" A grey haired man chuckled, standing around a corner where not many people were. He had a backpack to hide his ever so pathetic wings, but it wasn't as though he could hide the fact that he looked perhaps in his twenties, and his hair was grey as a rainy day.
"Yeah, probably." The shorter brown haired man chuckled, straightening his neon green tie. "They're not very patient, are they? Honestly..." He could only spot a few of his vampires from here, but he knew the majority of them were watching, waiting in hidden spots to attack. Judging by the emotions he was picking up from them, they were all ready, and ready for their meal.
He knew that even though there were only maybe around fifteen vampires, they would bite more people, and then those people would bite people, and so on...
But, he knew that at the moment, he was just torturing them by not giving the signal.
Glancing around the crowded mall, he noticed a few... strange looking characters, but no matter. He had confidence in his vampires, as he always did.
"Shit..."
Cruz glanced at Bird with a raised eyebrow.
"He's here."
The Elite leader nodded slightly. There was only one he to him, and he only referred to him as that because Cruz knew he hated referring to him as his brother. "Is that a problem?"
"Nah... just fuckin' annoying." Bird growled. "Give the signal already."
"I am, I am." Cruz put his hands up, knowing Bird got a little more angry when his brother was near.

Leaning against the wall and closing his eyes to focus on the locations of the Elites scattered across the mall, he sent one message to them all. The cue that signaled for the vampires to start biting people and letting them attack more people.
Have fun.

As soon as he did so, he opened his eyes to see that a ton of the Elites almost seemed to have appeared out of nowhere-- when really they were just hiding, and started grabbing people and biting them. Some, Cruz noticed, tried to fight them off.
How ridiculous, they were going to die sooner or later.

Justin swallowed thickly as Selphie shoved article of clothing after clothing into his arms before herding him towards the changing rooms. She pushed him into one, the closed it, and practically ordered him to give her a "fashion show" of the things she picked out.

He almost did, if it was for a sudden chill that slid down his spin, causing him to tremble violently, nearly falling to his knees. Fucking hell, that was cold. He rubbed his arms with his hands and opened the stall again forcefully, brushing past Selphie who protested. But Justin ignored her, instead, stepping out into the main mall, into the crowds of people, and began examining every single face he saw.

Because someone was here and whoever it was meant bad news.

"Finaly!" Rayna screeched happily. She had locked the door to the mall already, cutting off a few humans from escaping.
She grinned wickedly, "Dinner time!" She lundged at one, sinking her fangs into their neck while the others screamed.
Ah some many screaming humans, so little time.

Screaming? What the hell was going--
Hoshit. Vampires. Xander realized.
Thaaaats not good.

"Sssso they weren't jussst rumorsss then." Snivered hissed.
"That they weren't" Apep muttered as he watched people run into the food court.
"Hey, shut the gates!" A man with sunglasses called. Good idea...

Justin bit his lip and grabbed Selphie's arm, ignoring her sharp glances and panicked words. Justin had smelled blood. As in, a lot. AS in, way too much for whoever that poor SOB to be alive. He sprinted into the crowd suddenly, shoving them aside if they got in his way, Selphie in tow. The poor woman screeched as she ran into a man that had blood on his face and quickly caught up.

They ran to the only place that had a reasonable amount of open space.

The food court.

The twins jumped when someone near them started attacking random people. "Holy crap! Vampires!" Gin grinned.
Aki tensed and carefully watched the people around them. "Great..."

Jake turned from the store window when he heard screams. "Uh oh." Tom nodded his agreement. "So this is why we're here." Tom jumped out of Jake's arms. "No use standing around. We need to find a safe place." Jake nodded and started running, "Right." He jumped and have a new dead vampire a flying kick to the face and kept running, looking for the twins and maybe a safe place to haul up away from the vampires.

Matt yelled in surprise as one of the ladies walking in front of him leaped and bit another lady, taking in a big gulp before letting her go. Then the lady who was bitten bit another, and then that one went for him. Aww shit... Matt thought as he blocked them from biting him.

-Meanwhile-

The mall was quickly turning into complete chaos as the Elites went around sinking their teeth into necks and then letting the people turn into vampires, and do the same.
A brown haired Elite got smacked by a six armed Elite for killing two humans with one arrows, saying, "we're just biting, dumbshit!"

A very short girl, around four feet tall, with kitty ears and kitty claws and a kitty tail, had been hidden in a clothing rack. After spotting a guy come out of the changing rooms, looking around and likely not watching the clothing racks, and then watching as he ran into the crowds, bounded after him, leaping and wrapping her arms around his neck with a loud mrrrrrrow.

"Hey, they're all headed towards the food courts!" Rayna called out in warning to the other vampires.

Xander had figured out how to close the gates, he was bringing one down. letting a few humans slide under as he did. Save as many people, then figure out what to do. He only hoped somebody else had the other side of the food court as well.

Justin yelped in surprise as the small "girl" pounced him, clawing at his neck with her talons. Selphie had screeched before being dragged off... somewhere by the frantic crowd. He didn't know. He couldn't look for her.

Cause he kinda had a damn cat lady tearing his neck up at the moment, thanks.

Gasping for air as the tiny fingers tightened, he grasped at her lithe arms and twisted, snapping the bone at her shoulder. Hopefully, that would do something.

The twins started running for the food court and hoped Jake was doing the same. They slid to a stop when they spotted a familiar figure being mauled by what looked like a cat. "Justin!" Pulling out matching daggers, they ran to help with the little feline-vampire pest.

Jake and Tom ran through the mall, avoiding the growing number of vampires spreading throughout the place. Jake scooped the small cat up suddenly and turned for to food court after seeing non-vampires duck inside for shelter.

Justin whined as the girl's group didn't loosen by much, seeing white as his air supply lessened. He couldn't even begin to describe how thankful he was to hear those two familiar voices. He started to kick at the girl weakly, crimson tears forming in the corners of his eyes.

Blaine and Diana watched numbly as all hell broke lose out in the mall.
Diana was at a loss for words.
"Er..."
".....Yeah. Uh....Looks like something's going down..."
"No really?"
The two exchanged glares, before leaping up to close the gates on the opposite side of the food court, where people were frantically running at for refuge.
The two Lucids pushed the gates closed, trying to let as many people through as possible. It took all of Diana's strength to resist keeping them open to let in more people. She might have hated people, but that didn't mean they deserved to die. She and Blaine cringed as the screams increased in number.

The twins launched themselves at the cat girl and pried her claws out of Justin. Cutting her with their daggers in the process.

Justin began wheezing for breath as the girl was pulled off, arching his beck to get a better angle for his lungs. He knew it didn't actually do anything but he was in pain. Let him hold onto his delusions for a bit, okay?

Coughing raggedly, he sat up and brought a hand to his throat. Looked at the twins for one moment before grabbing their hands and running off towards the food court again. Hopefully they had noticed it was the only safe place as well.

Lanna let out a loud hiss as she felt a sharp pain in her shoulder. Nipping his hair to keep herself on, she dug the claws on her toes into his back to try and climb him, maybe scratch at his face or chest or anything she could get her claws on. She just tried not to let him get away.
She let out another hiss of annoyance as she felt someone scooping her up. The cat girl tried to keep her grip on the boy she had, while also kicking out at whoever was trying to get her off of him with her toe claws.
Once they pulled her claws out, she was furious, and turned on whoever had gotten her off with her claws, letting out yowls of anger. The nearby Elites laughed at her temper.

Cruz, who was leaning against the wall next to the food court, merely watching as the humans swarmed trying to get to their so-called safety. He chuckled as Shirley was about to follow a tall, black haired kid in.
"Let them have their safe home base." He said, in a casual voice that the yelling around him drowned out. "We haven't played a game in a while."
Shirley stopped, sliding as though the six armed Elite had tripped. Somehow having heard him, though no one else really could, she jumped back into the crowd to grab people and bite them.

A few non Elite vampires slid under the gate, grabbing at feet of people who were holding it open desperately and hungrily, trying to nip at their feet.

Justin looked back at the now POed cat girl, not quite sure what to do. He didn't really like hitting girls and he still couldn't see straight...

His peripherals caught what looked like a man with a neon green tie smirking like a dick. He frowned.

Alright, this might be a bit bigger than he had originally thought...

"Come on Diana, we can't save 'em all," Blaine muttered gently.
She nodded, forcing herself to tear her eyes away from the gory scene beyond the gate. Blaine headed in the direction of some of the tables, probably to ask what the hell was going on. She was about to follow him when she felt some external power force her to look back into the mall. A boy, probably only fifteen years old, was running with two younger kids right for the gate. That was now closed.
Shit. Don't do this Diana. You can't save them all. Don't do this.
She ignored her voice of reason and pulled at the gate, gritting her teeth. Screw this. She closed her eyes and muttered softly and the gate blasted open, knocking over a few vampire din the process.
"Run!!"

The twins quickly matched Justin's pace as he dragged then towards to food court. "Anyone else here with you?"
Aki glanced around at all the blond heads she could see, looking for Jake.

Jake stopped at the gate of the food court and pulled a few vampires out of the way, sending them flying back into more vampires behind them. Quickly he slid under the gate, with Tom in tow.

He skidded to a stop as a burst of energy "hit" him in the face. He frowned. Weird.

"I lost a friend back there... A woman, about 27, brown hair, kinda sprite-like. Her name's Selphie and she;s not the best fighter..." He bit his lip. Probably dead by now, anyways.

"Well that's great." The twins muttered, slightly annoyed at the vampire boys attitude. "Let's hope someone who is a fighter found her then." They started running for the food court again, this time pulling Justin along with them instead of the other way around.

Jake stood looking at all the faces in the food court, hoping to find the twins. "They're not in here..." A small pink butterfly fluttered around his head.

Diana hissed. He obviously hadn't heard her. And now the blasted vampires were getting up, and they looked pissed.
"Fine. You wanna play hard to get? I can play that game."
She blew lightly on her fingers and a coil of shining blue rope shot out and snaked around the boy's ankle. She yanked on it, hard, then sent it flying back into the court. His landing would be painful, but still. They'd make it alive. Hopefully...

Meanwhile, Blaine was heading to the other side of the food court. The guy standing in front of the gate looked like he could use some help, plus he probably knew what was going on.

Justin hissed as his already airless lungs had the wind knocked out of them as he hit the hard floor, half wanting to just lay there and die considering how shitty things were going. He looked up...

... And saw what he believed was Selphie's head being tossed among a group of sinister looking vampires.

...
