Leah was too angry to notice Okami's frantic eye flick.
Oh wonderful. Now one of the morons had unfrozen their mouths and was expecting some sort of response.
"Yeah no."
Fine, so she didn't have any sort of plan or technique to avoid torture or anything. Well, the plan was winging it, if winging it could be considered a plan. Wait...maybe she could get them out of this after all...

(and yeah, they can use mind talking, but it takes a lot of practice and concentration to master. if okami were to try it, everyone would probably be able to hear him)

"That would indeed be a good method if we knew that they were Nightmares. Seeing as they probably aren't, we need to find out what they are and if there's more of them before we start slitting throats."
Maybe they would be more willing to talk if they knew that throat slitting was a good possibility.

Okami frowned, not sure if he should even say anything...

"Aren't there ways to torture here?"

Leah switched her glare to the brunet. Torture? Really? Torture her, the self-declared queen of the Nightmare Realm? Fat chance.
She just needed this to work.
Okami, if you can hear me, blink twice. I might have a plan.

"Yeah, we could pretty much do whatever we want to them. Sadly, that kind of stuff has a bad habit of backfiring, especially when this Realm is involved. Nightmares and all. And I know for a fact that at least one higher up is going to be severely pissed off with me if I 'resort to such uncouth methods for extracting information'. Ren can be such a bitch...Whatever. Sure, take a whack at it."

Camden really, really didn't want to hurt a girl.

Okami swallowed. Then blinked, twice.

"What, now? Don't you think we should just talk first? Escalated? So I don't necessarily have to cut them as badly as I would need?

Yayyyy! Okay, I think we need to wake up now. This is getting bad, and we need to make a plan when we're Awake and won't be overheard for how to avoid these creeps next time we Dream. And during classes...So just do whatever you can do snap yourself awake. usually blinking really really hard a lot works, but sometimes it takes more, like shaking your head or twirling around. But we're still frozen...So try blinking hard.
She'd wait for him to wake up first. No way was she gonna leave the poor guy here to the mercy of two Lucids. Even if said Lucids were obviously clueless and had no idea what they were doing.

Camden nodded, swallowing. So what if inflicting harm on others bothered him? So what is he was a bit of a coward when it came to trying to overpower other people? So what if he was terrified of hurting other people? They were Nightmares. not people. Probably. So it didn't matter. Obviously.

Okami frowned, at a loss on how to wake himself up. What did he do, pinch his arm? Douse himself with water? Die?

Yeah, dieing didn't seem like much fun...

Justin sighed. The guy was probably squeamish. He should have realized that! Most kids, whether they lived in dreams or not, were probably going to be iffy, to say the least, on torture. Especially a girl.

'Kami! Blink. Really hard. Numerous times. If that doesn't work bite your lip really hard. Little stuff like that can help you wake up. Quickly before they realize we're up to something.
She was starting to get nervous.

Camden looked down, embarrassed about looking so weak. This was stupid. He should be the one telling Justin that it was okay to torture the girl because they needed this information. He should be the one calmly cutting into their skin until they cried out for it to stop. He wasn't even sure if it would work here. They could disappear form right beneath the blade of his conjured knife before getting a single word out of them. But they had to try.

Not wanting to look like a blinking idiot (cause blinking quickly makes it look like he's crying, which he doesn't do), Okami chomped down on his bottom lip as hard as he could, flinching at the explosion of an irony taste in his mouth.

"Look, we'll just talk first. If they don't give anything up, I'll... I'll knife the guy."

Didn't want Camden to think he was a sadistic bastard. The guy seemed strong. He could take it, hopefully.

....Kay that didn't quite work like I'd hoped. I'd say flail around, but we're still frozen. Come on, blink. I'm not gonna wake up until you're safe, so get cracking. Those two look like they mean business.

Camden nodded, sighing slightly in relief.
"Yeah that works. I'm not that great with getting people to do what I want so..maybe you could try asking the questions first?"
Now he felt even more stupid. Oh well. He was stupid. Might as well stop pretending he wasn't.

Okami groaned. Time to look like a dumbass.

He blinked, rapidly, trying not to make eye contact when the brunet practically sauntered in front of him, leaning down a bit to get at eye level. He was frozen in a crouched run. Any other time and he'd tower over this guy.

Justin gave the boy a once over and nodded. Yep. Strong. He could see an odd scar on his neck. Nothing much, but still. He cleared his throat and forced the other to look him in the eye.

"What are you doing here?"

No answer, more odd blinking. Justin frowned.

"Why were you running? What are you?"

Blink, blink, blink, blink.

What was going on, a seizure?

Blink harder dammit!
If the situation weren't so urgent, Leah would definitely be laughing. But their lives sort of depended on Okami waking up, so laughter wasn't really appropriate right now. Though she might tease him about this later...

"Shit, Okami, get information out of him now! They're trying to wake up."
Camden refroze their faces.
"Okay, we need to think of a way we can get them to talk without having to actually talk...Guess we could try prying into their minds..."

(... Did you just call Justin Okami?... Oh, wait... XD;; Nevermind! Forgot what Justin called himself here... >u>)

Okami would've said something if his face wasn't frozen. Fucking hell, for a second, he had thought the kid was talking to him! But no, apparently, this brunet of his dreams (quite literally) was named Okami. Wow.

Small fucking world, huh.

"Okami" stepped away.

"So? We can find them when they're awake, right?"

( XD it makes it so much more fun and ironic)

Leah would have raised an eyebrow if not for her frozen face. No...She would have gasped loudly and dramatically. That would have been more fun. And dramatic.
So how were they going to wake up now?

"Maybe. But the school is insane and I get the feeling we wouldn't have such an easy time tracking them down. Plus a lot of people who become Lucid for their first time don't remember their first few nights. I kind of doubt the girl is that new, but the guy is definitely on his first night. He probably won't remember much tomorrow. Neither will you, most likely. It takes about a week to really sink in."

Camden just really didn't want to have a real life confrontation or have to deal with chasing people down in his less than perfect physical state in Awake form. That would really suck...

Okami tried to move again, desperate now, all considering. They really, really had to get out of here. Like, now. Then he got an idea.

Dieing.

It woke you up from a dream, always, right?

So, all he had to do was hold his breath until he passed out. He'd done it before. He could do it again.

Sucking in a deep breath through his nose, Okami held his breath and prayed that he wouldn't literally die in his sleep from this.

Justin paused.

"If you're worried about them being too strong in real life, don't worry. I can handle a fight for the both of us."

After all, Camden looked like he could use a bit of reassurance.

GODDAMIT OKAMI DON'T DO THAT! DYING DOES NOT WORK IT ONLY KILLS YOU IN AWAKE FORM TOO JEEZ DUDE STOP!

She really wanted to be able to use her limbs so she could go shake some sense into the idiot.
Looked like she'd have to try to unfreeze them...
She concentrated her will on relaxing her muscles and slowly regaining movement, like melting ice.

It wasn't working.

Jeez, Okami must be some sort of mind reader to be able to pick up on so many of his real reasons for hesitating. Or he was just way too easy to read.

"Let's try the mind reading, it could yield some results. Focus your attention on-"

Camden deadpanned. They were gone.

Okami flinched.

Justin stared at the empty spot of where the two culprits sued to be and pursed his lips.

"How annoying..."

And he totally wasn't a mindreader, of course not. What do you think this is?

Leah crashed out of bed as a loud explosion blew out one of the walls of their dorm room. She groaned as she rolled on the hard wood floor. That was gonna leave a mark.

She slowly sat up, rubbing her side gingerly.
"Okami? You okay?"

Camden sighed.
"Oh well. Guess we'll have to go with your plan anyway. At least we know we can overpower them easily."

Okami gasped for breath as he awoke, body arching off the bed, shaking and fisting the sheets beneath his hands. Everything was a flash of black and white, his thoughts blurry and sluggish. He groaned in agony as he pealed his body from the mattress, then, fell to the floor as well, knees weak.

He looked up at the hole in their wall.

"... Great...!" he panted out, throat scratchy and sore.

Justin nodded. "They're probably not very strong in real life. Should we wake up now?"*

Leah rubbed her eyes with the back of her hands then stood on relatively sturdy legs and made her way to Okami.
"You sure don't look okay," she mused, holding out a hand for him. He didn't look like he could stand on his own.

"Yeah, there's not much else to do. Doubt you wanna go kill Nightmares on your first night. Just blink your eyes a bunch or squeeze them shut. You can also yawn or pinch yourself a few times."
He shrugged.
"Deep sleepers tend to take more violent methods to wake up, but if you're as light a sleeper as me it won't take much."

Okami looked at the hand and swallowed thickly. Cause there were three hands in his swimming vision. And he didn't know which one to grab. Hoping for the best, he swatted at the hand on the far right and...

Found thin air.

"Naaaaaah!" He whined, shaking his head to rid himself of the dizziness.

Justin nodded and blinked once, reeeaaaaally hard, then opened his eyes, getting the drill.

He stared up at the sealing, arms folded across his chest like a corpse, awake.8

Leah grabbed his hand and heaved him up, supporting him by the small of his back. She ducked her head slightly to hide her face as it flushed red. Nonono, she wasn't going to annoy him by being all cutesy flirty, that was beneath her.

Completely beneath her.

"...Want me to set you back down on the bed?"

Oh God had she just squeaked? Really? So much for calm, cool, and collected.

James blinked as the darkness of the room swam in his vision.

"So how much of that do you remember?"

Okami nodded his consent, feeling a new warmth radiate from the girl beside him.

Aw, how cute.

Justin sighed and shook his head.

"Some weirdo kids... blinking a lot..." He let his hands fall to his sides. "Trying to interrogate them..."

Leah gently lowered him back down, afraid of hurting him more.
"How's your head?" She spoke softly and soothingly now, like she was trying to calm a wild, injured animal.
She ignored the gaping hole in the wall. First things first.

Camden nodded.
"You have an excellent memory. Most people don't even remember turning Lucid."

Okami groaned and turned on his side, clutching his stomach. Great, not one were his eyes not working, and his head was spinning, but now he felt sick. Sick, sick, sick, sick enough to upchuck the nonexistent food he had never eaten.

Ugh, he hated waking up.

"Trust me, I'm going to be pretty above-average in nearly everything."

Leah bit her lip and sat down next to Okami, tentatively reaching out a hand to rub him on the back. He probably thought she was a total creeper at this point. She drew back her hand quickly and sat on it, looking down.
Not only was she failing horribly at not acting like the shy schoolgirl with a crush, she wasn't helping him feel any better either. Heck, her being here probably made him feel worse.

"Someone's certain of themselves! Wish I could say the same about myself," James grinned.
He glanced at the alarm clock on his night stand. 4:30. ....So how were they going to kill another 2 hours?
